Why Me?

My journey into tech wasn't exactly conventional. No traditional CS degree or coding bootcamps here. Instead, it was fueled by late nights, a scientist's curiosity transplanted from Rwanda, and a stubborn drive to figure things out. I traded lab coats for lines of code, teaching myself everything from the ground up – one random project, one broken feature, and one hard-won 'aha!' moment at a time. This path has taught me more than just how to code; it’s instilled a deep sense of ownership and a genuine passion for crafting solutions that matter.

Creative Problem-Solver

My science background means I'm wired to dissect complex challenges. Now as a developer, I channel that into building inventive and effective tech solutions.

Adaptable & Eager Learner

From HTML to React and PostgreSQL, I've navigated the learning curve solo. For me, picking up new tech isn't just a skill, it’s the core of how I operate.

Craftsmanship Matters

I believe the little things make a big difference. Clean code, intuitive UI, and polished experiences are non-negotiables for me.

Driven by Impact

Chasing trends isn't my style. I'm focused on building things with real utility, creating tools and experiences that genuinely help or connect.

Naturally Inquisitive

I thrive on exploring new ideas and tech – yes, even if it's diving into your existing codebase! I love connecting unexpected dots and seeing what unfolds.

Passionate Dedication

Every project gets my full commitment. I pour my energy into creating work that I'm proud of, striving for that sweet spot where passion meets quality.

Behold, my friend! The epic saga of how I became a code-wrangler.

I've been wrangling the web development for the past 2 years. Here’s a timeline of my thrilling (and occasionally chaotic) adventure.

If you're looking for someone to help build awesome stuff or if you know some one who wants my skills (and maybe share a few laughs), I'm your dev! Ready to make some magic happen.

Graduated high school in Rwanda — studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Then I met what people called computer programming, coding or whatever they called that and was like, "Hold up, this coding thing is kinda awesome?" Suddenly, the dream morphed: less test tubes, more tech, maybe even some bio-infused futuristic sci-fi imaginations which was cringe when i remember that.

Late 2023

Dove headfirst into teaching myself web dev: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Whipped up some portfolio and note-taking apps that literally no one asked for. My crowning achievement? Accidentally building a house rental site with React... before I even knew what React was. Peak rookie moves.

Joined some online coding communities and was instantly humbled. Folks were out there conjuring AI overlords while I was still figuring out what a 'function' did (spoiler: it functions). Then came the legendary 'Tutorial Hell' – where every YouTube video promised enlightenment but mostly taught advanced copy-pasting.

2023 – 2024

Applied to 20+ colleges, still chasing that bio-tech dream. Snagged a few acceptances... but then saw the $40k USD a year price tag and my wallet wept. The rejections piled up too. Ah, the sweet smell of character development, or so they say.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world was apparently busy launching the next big AI thing. If you weren't coding a world-changing startup from your garage, were you even trying? Felt a bit like a lost puppy in a server room. Still here, though!

The final college rejection landed. And no, it wasn't an April Fools' joke (my calendar checked). Decided to go all-in on web dev. MERN stack, PostgreSQL, Next.js – you name it, I was probably wrestling with it. Started building actual projects, not for clout or grades, but just to, you know, get good.

Somewhere between a rogue semicolon and a deployment error, I realized this coding path isn't a straight line. It's more like a tangled headphone cable. But every bug squashed and every project shipped felt like leveling up in a video game. XP gained! (i know it's cringe but tryna make a story dawg)

Present & Beyond

So, what's cookin' now? On the great quest for my first dev job. Not just to keep the lights on (though that's nice), but to bankroll the real dream: building ridiculously cool stuff where tech and biology high-five. Think sci-fi, but, like, for real.

Still learning, still building, still dreaming bigger than my internet plan can handle. The story's definitely not over; we're just getting to the good part.
